Bed Detailer

Starts at $9 per hour


Role Overview:

Our Bed Detailer position requires physical stamina, as you will be moving and on your feet throughout your shift. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Ensure tanning units and room environment are clean for customers, washing towels and ensuring that store is clean throughout your shift and at closing time. 
  • Be In good standing with the community
  • Have the ability to provide your own transportation
  • Demonstrate a positive, can-do, go-the-extra-mile attitude
  • Have a pleasant, personable manner

Sales Consultant

Starts at $10/hour + commissions


Role Overview: 


Our Sales Consultants drive growth, deliver exceptional service and help clients achieve their wellness and appearance goals. You will consult with clients, recommend services (UV tanning, sunless, red-light therapy), promote memberships and help maintain a professional, welcoming environment. 


Key Responsibilities:
 

  • Meet same responsibilities and qualifications of a Bed Detailer position. 

  • Greet and consult clients in a friendly, professional manner
  • Recommend tanning, sunless spray, red-light therapy, memberships and retail products based on client goals
  • Meet and exceed monthly sales goals 
  • Assist in boutique merchandising and store presentation
  • Maintain guest records, manage POS and assist with appointment scheduling
  • Support marketing initiatives, promotions and referral programs
  • Maintain strict standards of cleanliness, sanitation and safety
  • Maintain professional appearance, punctuality and brand values at all times

Qualifications:
  • 1-2 years face-to-face sales experience (retail, fitness, spa)
  • Proven ability to hit sales metrics and selling memberships
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Reliable, professional and detail-oriented
  • Comfortable with cleaning and being on your feet during shifts
  • Openness to training
  • Flexible availability including weekends

Management

Starts at $13/hour + commissions

Role Overview: 


As a member of our Management Team, you lead a high-performing salon, drive revenue, elevate the guest experience, and develop your team. You are responsible for overall operations, sales performance, team coaching, and maintaining Island Sun’s gold-standard of safety and cleanliness.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Meet same responsibilities and qualifications of a Bed Detailer and Sales Consultant positions. 

  • Oversee the daily operations of the store 
  • Oversee scheduling, hiring, onboarding and performance evaluations
  • Manage inventory and coordinate maintenance or service needs of equipment
  • Achieve and exceed monthly sales, membership, and retention goals
  • Maintain budgets, payroll, cost of goods, and inventory
  • Ensure staff certifications (Smart Tan), product knowledge, and ongoing training
  • Provide exceptional customer service and handle escalations professionally
  • Promote Island Sun events and in-store promotions
  • Uphold all safety standards and state regulatory requirements

Qualifications:
  • 3–5 years management experience in retail, salon, spa, fitness, or service industries
  • Proven track record of leading teams and meeting sales goals (retail or service industry preferred)
  • Strong communication, coaching, and organizational skills
  • Professional appearance and a customer-first mindset
  • Flexible availability working a mix of days, nights and weekends
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to respond to customers' requests gracefully
